The first question we get asked frequently at Verde is how long do we offer our catering service at events. If you’re hosting an on-premise event, our services are structured for 3-hour events. On the other hand, if you’re hosting an off-premise event, we normally quote our customers for 3 to 5 hours of event time. However, these times are flexible and we encourage you to communicate your needs so we can accommodate them. Just take note that we do not host any open bar events for longer than 4 1/2 hours.
Many customers are also interested in knowing if we allow for menu customizations when you use our catering services. We are happy to help guests build the perfect menu for their event, however, certain additions and substitutions may be an additional cost.
You may be interested in our mouthwatering lunch and dinner catering services, but you also want to provide your own dessert at your event. If that’s the case, that’s OK with us at Verde Kitchen. Even though we offer our own homemade desserts, many customers request to bring their own desserts. We will display, cut, and serve any dessert for no additional charge.
If you are hosting an on-premise event and using our catering services, you may be wondering if you can bring your own decorations. At Verde Kitchen & Cocktails, we allow guests to bring small decorations and centerpieces. However, we request that you do not bring confetti or sparklers, and if you do bring balloons you must secure them to tables and chairs and properly dispose of them after your event.
Another commonly asked question we receive for our on-premise catering events is whether can we bring our own band, DJ, or live entertainment. If the event is private and our restaurant is not currently open to the public, this may be an option. However, if your event is not private and our restaurant is open, we may be able to allow for this. Please feel free to ask us if you have any special requests.
If you are bringing decorations or other supplies to an on-premise event at Verde, we ask that you come 30 to 60 minutes before your event to set up. You should also plan to break down your event within the 3-hour window of your rental.
Customers interested in knowing if tax and/or gratuity are included in our pricing should know that these fees are extra. Your total with us will be calculated as your package price multiplied by the final guest count OR the minimum commitment amount (whichever is greater), plus an 8.625% NYS sales tax and a 22% admin fee. Your deposit will be subtracted from your final total when you are billed. Deposits are $500 for on-premise events and 25% of the anticipated subtotal for off-premise events.
