Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with Verde Kitchen
Day of the Dead, also known as Dia De Los Muertos, is celebrated every year on November 1. This Mexican holiday is a two-day event dedicated to reuniting the living and the dead. Families create ofrendas, or offerings, to give to their departed loved ones. They also decorate altars with bright yellow marigold flowers, photos of their loved ones, and the favorite foods and drinks of their departed family members. These offerings are believed to encourage visits from deceased loved ones. Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with Verde Kitchen.
Day of the Dead is one of the few holidays that bring life and death together. This Mexican holiday celebrates the dead, rather than mourns them. The holiday gives people the opportunity to remember positive memories of their deceased friends and family and gives them the opportunity to reconnect with the people they love who have departed.
Maybe you don’t celebrate Dia de los Muertos in the traditional sense. Perhaps you weren’t raised with Mexican culture or maybe you aren’t able to make it home to Mexico to visit your loved one’s grave. Whatever the case may be, you can celebrate this holiday with Verde Kitchen & Cocktails.
Celebrate your loved ones who have departed or celebrate Mexican culture and cuisine with a meal at our restaurant. We serve up delicious Mexican cuisine, such as tacos, street corn, pollo mole rojo, and more. Consider ordering some guacamole and salsa to share with your friends, as well as any of our a la carte tacos that come with two or three pieces. For sides, add on an order of aguacate, frijoles negros, arroz, arroz con frijoles, or platanos fritos.
In addition to an extensive menu of Mexican cuisine, we also serve margaritas and cocktails. All of our margaritas are made with 100% Blue Weber Agave Tequila, organic agave, and fresh squeezed citrus. We also make all of our infusions and syrups in house using our greenhouse ingredients whenever possible.
