Day of the Dead, also known as Dia De Los Muertos, is celebrated every year on November 1. This Mexican holiday is a two-day event dedicated to reuniting the living and the dead. Families create ofrendas, or offerings, to give to their departed loved ones. They also decorate altars with bright yellow marigold flowers, photos of their loved ones, and the favorite foods and drinks of their departed family members.
